the architect blooms

I’ve built myself for restlessness this unity, deception against such harmony I press, for I am nothing more than taut skin floating over loosely strung fragments of arms, legs, fingers, hair, twisting and tugging, twisting and tugging. I beckon, and the motion scatters and tears, constant tension that weeps and wails and weeps and wants and falls itself to pieces and they whisper Stop. Just try to keep the rhythm. Keep the order. Keep the step. Keep stepping through showers of glorious shards fluttering over ancient vessels

night driveYou wouldn’t believe it, but all day everyday, I have a running narrative in grammatically correct present tense running through my head.
It’s ridiculous. Absolutely. But it’s there. I step into a car and the voice in my head that’s really words typed out neatly in white says, “I step into the car.” Maybe, if I’m stepping into the car for some spicy reason, it will add, “I’m feeling anxious. I hope that everything will be alright” or “Outside, the world looks like its bursting with laughter, and I remember the days just months ago when butterflies owned the air.&n night drive

Lady ChronosI met her underneath the worn away glances of
acid washed angels, they were waiting for us there, faces torn in absolution or tormented prayer.
I never much cared for the drip- sizzle of time, wearing away on all that, all those wan

trustee scholar bioMy name is Megan and I was born in a suburban town in Northern California that you probably haven’t heard of. But, if you have and if you, by some strange chance, have visited it, then you have noticed that it is located in a valley surrounded by beautiful, rolling hills that I myself did not notice until this year, just in time for me to leave and look at them no more. I'm so stoked. I haven't had time to really do anything (here or there or as far as writing goes...I spent most of my artistic energies painting over the summer, you can check them out here [link]) but I submitted it sort of on a whim. So you should check it out and be like, wow, that girl can kind of write poetry and kind of draw, too!!!
